 Gorillaz- On Melancholy Hill This music video is interesting because its all animated which fits in with Gorillaz overall aesthetic as a 'virtual band' created by Damon Albarn. It comprises of four band members; Noodle, 2D, Murdoc and Hobbs. They all feature in this music video that begins with Noodle on a sinking ship, that resembles that of the Titanic, thus using intertextuality. Noodle then walks out with a gun and begins to fire. The rest of the music video then shows the band underwater- following the narrative of the story. One key thing about this music video is that it shows a full story and doesn't have any shots of the band just singing which is usually a key element in most music videos. It also links in with other music videos from songs on Gorillaz album, Plastic Beach. that this song features on.
